What You'll Need

Requirements vary by program level. Here's a general guide — check your specific program page for exact details.

🎓 Undergraduate Programs

Completion of Year 12 or equivalent (HSC, IB, A-Levels)
ATAR score meeting program minimum (typically 72–92)
English proficiency: IELTS 6.5+ overall (no band below 6.0)
Some programs require supplementary applications, portfolios, or auditions
Mature-age applicants may apply via special entry pathway
Credit transfer available for prior tertiary study (CAT)

📚 Postgraduate Coursework

Recognised bachelor's degree (AQF Level 7 or equivalent)
Minimum GPA of 5.0/7.0 (Credit average) from undergraduate study
English proficiency: IELTS 6.5+ (some programs require 7.0)
Work experience requirements vary by program (esp. MBA: 3+ years)
Statement of purpose required for selective programs
Two academic or professional referees

🔬 Research Degrees (MRes / PhD)

Honours degree (First Class or Upper Second) or Master's degree
Identified supervisor and approved research proposal
English proficiency: IELTS 7.0+ (no band below 6.5)
Research experience in relevant discipline preferred
Interview with potential supervisor required
Scholarship applications assessed concurrently

🌏 International Students

Equivalent qualification from your home country (assessed case-by-case)
Official certified translated transcripts if not in English
Valid student visa (subclass 500) for on-campus study in Australia
Overseas Health Cover (OSHC) for duration of enrolment
Financial capacity evidence (min. AUD $21,041 per year)

Vice-Chancellor's Excellence Scholarship

Full tuition waiver for exceptional domestic students. ATAR 98+ or equivalent. 20 awarded per year.

Equity Access Scholarship

50% tuition reduction for students from low-SES backgrounds or regional/remote areas. Income-tested.

International Merit Award

20–40% tuition reduction for high-achieving international students. GPA 3.5/4.0 from prior institution.

Research Training Program (RTP)

Full government-funded scholarship for domestic higher degree research students including stipend.
